What is the llms.txt Live Preview?

The llms.txt Live Preview shows you how AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity currently perceive your website. The tool checks the most important GEO signals (Generative Engine Optimization) and simulates two scenarios: how AI talks about you today – and how it could talk about you after optimization.

Why is the Live Preview important?

Many businesses do not know how AI assistants access their website data. Without llms.txt, without Schema.org markup and with blocked AI crawlers, systems like ChatGPT have less context about your offering. The Live Preview shows this difference – and what GEO optimization can change.

How the Live Preview Works

After entering your URL, the tool checks six GEO signals: robots.txt (AI crawlers allowed?), llms.txt (present?), Schema.org markup (structured data?), meta description, HTTPS and crawlability. Based on the results, it generates two simulated AI responses – one without and one with optimization. So you can see at a glance what is missing and what would be possible.

What file sizes does the tool support?
The preview tool handles llms.txt files up to 500 KB without any issues. For very large files, the llms.txt Validator is recommended.
Is my data stored?
No. All processing happens entirely in the browser. No file contents are sent to our servers – fully GDPR-compliant.
Does the preview also work for llms-full.txt?
Yes. The tool supports llms.txt as well as llms-full.txt, robots.txt and other AI configuration files in the same format.

Using the llms.txt Live Preview effectively
